Follow through the implications – beyond the immediate, into the long-term

Keep asking: “and what comes after?” - following through the long-term life of your project, tracing the ripples that spread out from the initial transformation. Spatial design and decision-making in relation to climate is too often based on short-term and narrow goals, which actively overlook obvious knock-on consequences down the line. But climate breakdown is impervious to short-term fixes as band-aids; it requires a longer-term perspective that fully acknowledges the well-being of future generations of humans and beyond-humans alike.
